Rooted in Kindness Rising in Unity
"Serve with Purpose. Support with Action. Stand for Children."
A GUCM Volunteer is the heartbeat of our global movement — an active force for good, working to uplift vulnerable children through mentorship, community action, education, and advocacy.
Whether online or on the ground, GUCM volunteers play vital roles: organizing local activities, raising awareness, supporting children, and connecting with donors or sponsors who can make a difference.
Some volunteers may wish to contribute by finding donors or sponsors for GUCM projects. GUCM offers an optional commission-based structure to reward volunteer efforts and encourage sustained involvement — especially in regions where volunteers face personal financial hardship.
Contribution Type Sponsorship Amount Volunteer Commission
Sponsor a Child (annual) $300 $30
Sponsor 5 Children $1,500 $150
Sponsor a Learning Hub $5,000 $500
Raise Monthly Recurring Donors Variable 10% of ALL month’s donation
Sponsor a Child (annual)
🛡️ All contributions must be logged, verified, and processed through GUCM Global Finance.
Volunteers may also choose to waive their commission and donate it back to the cause.
✅ Flexible time — you can volunteer once a week or every day
✅ Join a global family with real local impact
✅ Build your resume with service leadership
✅ Create long-term change in the life of a child
✅ Help raise support and even earn incentives (if needed)
“You don’t need to be rich or famous to change a life. You just need to care — and act.”
Organize a community or online campaign where volunteers help find sponsors for specific children — using their photos, stories (with permission), and needs.
🎯 Goal: Get 5–20 children sponsored in a month
📍 Best for: Schools, faith groups, diaspora communities
Start a volunteer campaign to write letters of encouragement and hope to GUCM-supported children — handwritten or emailed.
🎯 Goal: Strengthen emotional bonds and mentorship
📍 Best for: Students, seniors, or writing clubs
What they do:
Volunteers are trained to identify and connect potential sponsors or donors with children or projects (orphan care, scholarships, girls' education, etc.).
Commission Model:
They receive a small recognition-based commission or incentive for each successful sponsorship link (e.g., 5–10% of first-month donation or one-time finder’s fee).
What they do:
Volunteers help screen, recruit, and onboard caring mentors from universities, corporates, or social groups to join GUCM programs worldwide.
Incentive Model:
Each successful mentor-match (verified activity after 1–2 sessions) earns the volunteer points or eligibility for monthly stipends, training certificates, or small commissions.
Volunteer to be matched with a child who needs regular video check-ins for emotional support, tutoring, or inspiration.
🎯 Goal: Provide 6-month mentorship cycles
📍 Best for: University students, diaspora youth, professionals
What they do:
Lead local or online fundraising drives (walkathons, webinars, auctions, “Sponsor a Kit” campaigns) using GUCM toolkits and branding.
Commission Option:
Up to 10% commission from net raised funds may be offered (if self-organized) OR recognition-based bonuses such as awards, media spotlights, or travel invites for top fundraisers.
Volunteer your skills in writing, design, social media, or fundraising for GUCM’s global campaigns.
🎯 Goal: Help GUCM scale through remote action
📍 Best for: Professionals and digital-savvy students
What they do:
Volunteers in schools, colleges, or youth groups host GUCM awareness sessions, enroll child sponsors, and recruit fellow volunteers.
Commission/Incentive Model:
Based on milestones—e.g., recruit 5 sponsors = gift card / public certificate / online shoutout. Optionally, student volunteers can earn points toward service hours or scholarships.
What they do:
Work with families, businesses, and diaspora leaders to fund a school, clinic, or mentorship hub in their name.
Commission Model:
Larger commission structure (3–5%) only on successful execution of major funding deals. Must follow strict ethical and legal transparency process.
Instead of gifts, ask friends to donate to a GUCM campaign (e.g., for orphaned children, disabled children, or medical fund).
🎯 Goal: Fundraise for 1 or more children
📍 Best for: Anyone with a birthday or celebration
What they do:
Help find donors willing to fund birthday gifts or “wish list” items for children in orphanages or rural hubs.
Incentive/Recognition Model:
Receive 5–7% of gift budget as coordination support fee, or get name published on GUCM birthday celebration wall of donors & volunteers.
